Making its debut in September 2009, The Cradle for the Cure (C4C) will bring girls from all over the Southeast to participate in a fun day of lacrosse while playing for a great cause; Breast Cancer research and awareness. Held in beautiful Flagler Beach, Florida, the C4C offers more than just great lacrosse. It gives the girls an opportunity to become informed and educated on a major health issue.
There will be a LaxManiax Day prior to the event and there will be plenty of time for the players to enjoy lovely Flagler Beach. What a great way for a family to end the summer and kick off the fall lacrosse season. Bring your sunscreen, bring your towels, and bring your ‘A’ game! 4 this great cause!

C4C RAFFLE!
Check out the latest deBeer sticks, sure to revolutionize the game! We will unveil the NV3, the Defy, and last year’s top seller, the Tempest Pro. They have been tested and rate as the fastest shooting sticks in the game today.
“The deBeer Defy is just a nasty stick! This is a stick that Paul Gait would have played with back in the 80’s, except it would be illegal in the guys game because it is so pinched,” commented Paul McCord, executive director of MCC Sports, Inc. “Having a stick like the Defy, or the NV3 makes the game of women’s lacrosse much easier to play. These sticks are game changers for most kids in the state of Florida. Top shooters who hit 65 will easily be hitting 70.”
“The whip, the pocket, the strings and the length (using a guys handle) make it really easy to pass and catch.” commented Taylor McCord who switched out her old Amonte for the NV3. “There is not a tremendous difference between the two, but the size of the head, stringing and the whip are better with the NV3. But if you play with an Amonte, the NV3 is like a nice upgrade. It is much more durable too.”
Each stick will also be raffled off thanks to a donation made by MCC Sports and the LaxManiax Elite club program. Our goal is to raise over $1,000 at the raffle this year. Tickets cost $5 each. Donations are gladly accepted as well. ALL raffle proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation.”
The New NV3 by deBeer will be making an instant sensation at the C4C tournament! One will be raffled off at the event, but you may also play with several demo’s to check it out.

C4C will hold a raffle drawing for a FREE stick and other great lacrosse equipment.
There will be a 50/50 raffle.
- Players may receive service hours for participating in the C4C which benefits breast cancer awareness and the Komen foundation.
- T-shirts will also be available with proceeds benefiting the Komen foundation.
- 1 deBeer DEFY, deBeer NV3, and deBeer Tempest Pro will be raffled off to benefit the Komen foundation.
- Other activities will be taking place at the event to help raise money and awareness.
- This tournament is a great chance to remember the wonderful gifts we all have while contributing to our communities.
